Jeep principal Si algo le faltaba a Jeep para completar su trayectoria en el segmento off road era un modelo económico. Y justo cuando el tema precios es clave para el mercado argentino, la marca se prepara para su gran desembarco. La americana fabricará el nuevo SUV compacto en Brasil, desde donde llegará a los mercados de la región. En los países europeos completará su desembarco en 2014. Pero en la Argentina habrá que esperar hasta 2015, muy probablemente el primer trimestre del año. Y el lanzamiento se da en un contexto muy particular, ya que desde la sanción del impuesto interno quedaron apenas unas pocas opciones de SUV con precios por debajo de los $240.000, que son Ford Ecosport, Renault Duster y Chevrolet Tracker. También Suzuki mantiene una opción debajo de este precio y Chevrolet Captiva, pero ambas 4×2. Aquí es donde Jeep buscará sacar ventaja, teniendo en cuenta que es un “experto” en todoterreno. Por dentro El interior del Renegade cuenta con un estilo moderno y sofisticado, en consonancia con el ADN de la marca. En el habitáculo se combinan colores con contenidos tecnológicos avanzados y compartimentos portaobjetos funcionales. El lenguaje utilizado para diseñar cada uno de los detalles se llama “Tek-Tonic”, el cual se define como “la combinación de formas suaves y táctiles con detalles sólidos y funcionales”. Uno de los aspectos más destacable se encuentra en el espacio de carga, ya que para dejar espacio para todo el equipaje de los pasajeros, el Renegade está diseñado con un pack interior flexible que incluye, como opción, una superficie de carga desmontable, reversible y regulable en altura, así como un asiento del copiloto abatible hacia delante. Mecánica renovada El Renegade cuenta con dos sistemas 4×4 – Jeep Active Drive y Jeep Active Drive Low – que incorporan un sistema de desconexión del eje trasero exclusivo de su categoría, que alterna entre dos y cuatro ruedas motrices para reducir la pérdida de energía cuando no se necesita la tracción 4×4, mejorando el consumo en el proceso. La gama de motores que se ofrece en la región EMEA incluye dos motores de gasolina MultiAir2 y uno E.torQ, y dos motores diésel MultiJet II. Además, ofrece el primer cambio automático de nueve velocidades del segmento. Incluye cuatro niveles de equipamiento (Sport, Longitude, Limited y Trailhawk). Infoentretenimiento y seguridad El SUV buscará superar a la competencia.
