Avant premiere Peugeot 308 S GTi
El modelo debutará en la Argentina en 2017, pero la marca ya lo sacó a las pistas en el Autódromo de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires para ponerlo a prueba. Diseñado por Peugeot Sport, es el primero con nueva plataforma EMP2 que se venderá en el país. Tiene 270 CV y acelera de 0 a 100 km/h en 6 segundos.
El año 2013 fue el punto de inflexión para los modelos GTi del marca del León, cuando Peugeot Sport puso todo su conocimiento e ingeniería a disposición de los autos de calle. El primer producto de esa alianza fue el RCZ R y luego fue el turno del 308 S GTi.
Hoy, en un evento en el Autódromo de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, la marca anticipó que en pocos meses más el Hatch estará en todos los concesionarios del país. Y también conocimos algunos detalles del nuevo modelo.
Diseño
El 308 S GTi cuenta con la nueva plataforma EMP2 de Peugeot, la cual tiene como característica principal que permite hacer autos más livianos, con mayor confort y modularidad. Otro aspecto importante es que permite que los modelos sean menos “trompudos” y que la “cola” sea más corta, todos aspectos que favorecen al nuevo modelo y a su deportividad.
En cuanto a la estética, el 308 S GTi inaugura un nuevo código estético de la marca que muestra sus rasgos deportivos más radicales, con un frontal llamativo gracias a la parrilla flotante con el León en el centro acompañado de la sigla GTi. Los spoiler completan la imagen y dan la sensación que el auto va pegado al piso, reforzando su estilo.
De perfil sobresalen las llantas con neumáticos 235/35/19, Michelín Pilot, con pinzas en rojo y la sigle GTi. Completando su imagen, la parte de atrás sobresale con las ópticas con las garras de León y la doble salida de escape.
“Lo que se busca es con trazos simples resolver y transmitir emociones, como una forma de iniciación a desafiar los límites, algo que permite este modelo”, explicó Rodrigo Morán, responsable de la marca.
Por dentro, el 308 S GTi inaugura la segunda generación del sistema i-Cockpit, la 2.0, que se destaca por su volante más chico, con pantalla táctil de 9.7 pulgadas, con climatización automática y los relojes invertidos en el tablero.
Otro detalle de su interior es la incorporación del techo cielo más grande y las butacas diseñadas por Peugeot Sport, con sujeción lateral típica de los autos de carrera.

El nuevo 308 S GTi tiene un motor 1.6 THP EP6FDTR, con 270cv. Entre las características especiales, se aumentó la impresión de inyección a 200 bar y se bajó la relación de compresión. El objetivo es que el auto entregue toda la ponencia en su marcha. La transmisión es manual de 6 marchas, con el sistema MCMR que significa que la caja es reforzada.
El diferencial Torsen de deslizamiento limitado permite la transferencia de par de una rueda que ha perdido adherencia a la rueda con agarre. De esta manera, mejoran la tracción y el “agarre” en curvas y prepara el vehículo para la aceleración a la salida de la misma.
Otro detalle especial se da en la suspensión, ya que se bajó 11 mm respecto del 308 convencional y aumentó la rigidez de los bujes para que no haya interferencias entre las ruedas y el asfalto con la dirección. El peso de este modelo es de 1205 kilos, lo cual, junto a los 270 cv, permite una relación peso-potencia de 4.46 kilos.
Para mejorar le manejo, el modelo cuenta con la opción Drive Sport Pack. Se trata de un pulsador adicional en la consola central que se sitúa junto al freno de estacionamiento eléctrico. Al presionarlo, el auto adquiere el carácter dinámico que se expresa con la amplificación del sonido del motor, mayor capacidad de respuesta del acelerador, calibración deportiva en la dirección y un cambio del color del panel de instrumentos (rojo), que además muestra en la pantalla LCD los parámetros dinámicos.
Competidores
El nuevo 308 S GTi llegará a la Argentina el año próximo. Al momento, la marca anticipó un precio promedio de $850.000, aunque habrá que esperar su desembarco para conocer el valor definitivo.
Entre los competidores se destacan el Volkswagen Scirocco, BMW Serie 2, Megane III RS y Volkswagen Golf GTi.
