Volkswagen Amarok: el restyling se presentará en octubre
El grupo anunció una inversión de 100 millones de dólares para modernizar las plantas de Córdoba y Pacheco. La renovación de la pick up es uno de los principales objetivos
El segmento de las pick ups es uno de los más activos del mercado. Por un lado, las marcas líderes están actualizando todos sus productos; y por el otro, cada vez más clientes eligen estos modelos para el uso laboral o familiar.
En este escenario, Volkswagen anunció una inversión de 100 millones de dólares para la modernización de las plataformas globales que se fabrican en el país, y uno de los principales objetivos es concretar el restyling de la Amarok, la pick up que se fabrica en Pacheco. El monto corresponde a un plan de inversiones ya puesto en práctica y también será destinado a la planta de Córdoba.
El anuncio se realizó en un encuentro entre autoridades de la automotriz y del Gobierno Argentina.
“Argentina es un pilar importante para Volkswagen en América del Sur. Nuestro objetivo es fortalecer la marca en la región generando una base financiera sólida y alcanzando una mayor participación de mercado y rentabilidad. Con este propósito, Volkswagen se ha reposicionado en términos de contenido y estructura y para ello ha desarrollado un plan escalonado para los próximos años”, indicó Herbert Diess, miembro del Consejo Directivo de Volkswagen AG y presidente y CEO de la División Vehículos de Pasajeros a nivel mundial.
El directivo estuvo reunido con el presidente Mauricio Macri y Pablo Di Si, presidente y CEO del Grupo Volkswagen.
